Wales’ number one rally driver, Elfyn Evans, is getting ready to sample a “fantastic atmosphere” on this year’s Dayinsure Wales Rally GB.

Talking ahead of this year’s event — the penultimate round of the 2017 FIA World Rally Championship — DMACK WRC driver Evans said:

“I’m really looking forward to my home rally, it’s always a special feeling to compete in Wales in front of the home fans and the atmosphere on the stages is fantastic. After missing the event last year, I’m really excited to be back — especially with the 2017 Fiesta which will be so much fun to drive in the Welsh forests.”

Evans and co-driver Dan Barritt will tackle Wales Rally GB for the M-Sport World Rally Team, using DMACK’s latest DMG+22 gravel tyres, as the M-Sport squad aims to seal the 2017 WRC manufacturer title.

This year, there’ll be an extra-special welcome for Evans in the Myherin stage, with a fan-designated #elfynscorner being a focal point of support for the Dolgellau driver.

Fans will not only show their support for Eflyn but will also be raising money for Welsh Air Ambulance.

Wales Rally GB takes place between 26–29 October.
