Malcolm Wilson is scrambling his way back up the leaderboard after the front prop broke on his works Ford Sierra RS Cosworth 4x4 in SS10, Dyfnant. He was reportedly flying on the following stage SS11, Myherin!
Although he set fastest times during the morning’s stages, rumours are swirling that Subaru Rally Team Europe are going to attempt a centre differential change on Colin McRae’s Legacy RS, before the Machynlleth halt.
The event was won by Carlos Sainz and Luis Moya in a Toyota Celica Turbo 4WD (ST185).
This was the last Rally of Great Britain run under the title of ‘Lombard RAC Rally’.
