Slovak rally teams Styllex Motorsport and L Racing have joined forces in 2017 to give Martin Koči — 2016 Junior World Rally Champion runner-up — the chance to compete in selected rounds of WRC2.

This year, Koči and co-driver Lukáš Kosta, will drive a Škoda Fabia R5 — prepared by Keane Motorsport from the Czech Republic.

The formation of the new team of L Racing and Styllex, will enable Koči and Kosta to return to the Slovak Rally Championship series after four impressive seasons in WRC.

In addition to domestic competition, the crew will participate in some WRC2 rounds under the newly formed team name of Styllex-L Racing.

Looking forward to the year ahead, Martin Koči said:

“I feel absolutely great before this upcoming season, I know there are many new challenges awaiting for us and it motivates me. I am entering this season full of energy having just returned from a week long fitness boot camp in Hotel Karpatia in Humenné. In the coming days, we are planning a more complex pre-season preparation together with Lukáš in the Czech Republic followed by our first pre-season test. I would like to thank all the partners entering this season with us, especially our home team Styllex Motorsport and L Racing.”

First competition for Koči and Kosta will be on L Racing Rally Rožňava 2017 (31 March — 1April), followed by a WRC2 entry on Tour de Corse 2017 (6–9 April).
