There was an interesting story by Autosport’s David Evans following last weekend’s Rally Italia Sardegna about World Rally Championship drivers and teams objecting to “stupid” artificial jumps being built on special stages:

The row followed Ott Tänak’s early exit (whilst in P3) in Sardegna. Tänak’s Toyota Yaris WRC took-off and nose-dived into the ground over a constructed jump on the second run of the Monte Baranta stage on the first full day of competition. The heavy landing damaged the Yaris’ cooling system and the Estonian was forced to Rally2 for the remainder of the event.

Following the Autosport story, @RallyingUK tested public opinion on Twitter with a ‘Quick Poll’. The outcome overwhelmingly backed driver / team concerns — with 78% believing they were justified:
